They may seem just little things that you trim, file, and put pretty polish on, but our nails are a very important part of our body that can indicate a lot of underlying medical conditions. Our nails are one of the many windows to our health. Healthy nails should be pink and without spots, grooves, ridges, or discolorations. Nails that are not can be telling you something to be concerned about.
1) Yellow Nails
Do your nails look a little yellow to you? That can be an indication of an infection. If your yellow nails also come with frequent trips to the bathroom and feeling tired all the time, that can be a sign of diabetes. It causes the glucose to latch on to the nail’s collagen proteins, causing them to change color from a healthy pink to a sickly yellow.
